Happiness is being an adult in an adult relationship with other adults that only want the best for you. Happiness is having goals in life and making decisions to meet those goals. Happiness is having friends with whom you can share intimate conversations and a laugh without pressure to be anything but who you are. Happiness is knowing who you are and filling your life with the magic of others who know who they are and want to share the magic of life with you. Happiness is accepting love when it is offered and rejecting those who cannot offer love. Happiness is being able to offer love to others and to yourself. Happiness is stretching your mind and the extent of your experience on this planet as far and as wide as this planet and still knowing where the center of home is. Happiness is knowing you made a wise decision. Happiness is having an ex-lover who wants to spend time with you because you both are comfortable with not only who you now are but also with who you were when you were together years ago. Happiness is choosing to be an adult when others are satisfied with merely living out silly and dysfunctional patterns from childhood. Happiness is respecting yourself enough to attempt to do what is right and just in all situations, to surround yourself with the love of the universe, and to try to return that love back to its source.
If you read these pages and think "Oh, what a poor, sad boy!" then you've missed the point. I am happy in a very real and deep way. For those of you who know me, the above paragraph was unnecessary. I hope the rest of you enjoyed.
